Mark G I'm only going for this lead track, because of the double bass. I'm a sucker for a double bass. Takes me back to the joys of Fingathing.
But this is not Fingathing. This is all together unique. An idiosyncratic meander through all forms of offbeat dance music that you might have heard over the years synthesised with the occasional soulful woo, wah wah pedal and more.
Frankly, it's great.
Gomrund is a talented magician musician. Favorite track: Detect Evil.

about

In 1958, Gomrund journeyed to Brooklyn's legendary Urgrosh Studios. Teaming up with DJ Moradin, they produced an album that Punch magazine described as 'decades behind its time'.

During a bout of inspirational paralysis, Gomrund asked Moradin what the tracks should be focused on. Moradin replied, 'Man (it was the 1950s) what can you do?'

It was a rhetorical question, but Gomrund thought, ruminated, and pondered, until it hit him, 'I know, I can...'

Thought lost for decades, the album was discovered by an unlikely traveler, who was looking for something else, but instead found this.
